" Managing and Protecting Our Country's Natural Resources"
IYOR Fundraising Dinner
On October 17th 2008, under the auspices of Mrs. Esther Byer-Suckoo (the then Minister responsible for the environment) members of the public gathered at the Port St. Charles Yacht Club together with governmental, non-governmental and academic marine scientists to raise funds for coral reef research in Barbados. Along with exquisite cuisine prepared by the chefs at Port St. Charles, the attendees were also treated to a beautiful fashion show featuring designs inspired by the sea. To top the evening off, the group Notes to Note provided a soothing soundtrack to the affair with their mellow jazz sound.
