Prime Minister visits south coast CIP Project
The Prime Minister visited the Rockley to Coconut Court CIP site on the 17th of October 2008. He was accompanied by Permanent Secretary Straughn, the Chief Town Planner Mark Cummings along with his personal assistant. In addition, Dr. Leo Brewster (CZMU), Mr. Dave Turner (Baird Consultants) and Mr. Antonio Rowe (CZMU) were also present. The Prime Minister and his party met the project team and began the tour of the works at the Kentucky Hastings section of the project.
Prime Minister Thompson and his party were equipped with safety gear and proceeded along the boardwalk in an easterly direction towards Magic Isle Hotel. Once at Magic Isle the group headed in a westerly direction towards the Sierra Hotel end of the project. Along the way the Prime Minister remarked on how impressed he was with the work, especially the headlands.
At the end of the tour, Prime Minister Thompson indicated that he would be bringing his Cabinet down to see the fine work the CZMU was doing.
